(between 49th and 50th) on the 24th floor

The next Women in Asset Management luncheon event will be on Wednesday November 17th at noon at the offices of Merrill Lynch at 1251 Avenue of the Americas (between 49th and 50th) on the 24th floor. Kathleen Stephansen from Credit Suisse First Boston (CSFB) will be speaking on the global economy. The Board of Women in Asset Management has decided that we will not be assessing membership fees this year. The fee for the luncheon will be $25 for everyone who attends. Please let me know if you will be attending this event by Friday November 12th.

Kathleen Stephansen joined the Credit Suisse First Boston Corporation in October 2000 as the Director of Global Economics. Her research responsibilities encompass analyses on global economic trends, and her marketing responsibilities entail promoting the Global Economics research product to the firm’s global institutional client base, with regular visits to the firm’s top 100 accounts around the globe. She publishes her findings in the firm’s weekly publications, appears regularly in print media, TV and radio, and is frequently invited to give speeches to clients and business associations.

Prior to CSFB, Kathleen was the chief international economist, senior U.S. economist, and senior vice president in the Fixed Income Division the Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette Securities Corporation. As co-head of economic research, she oversaw a wide range of analyses covering both global and US economics and related capital flows.

Kathleen holds an undergraduate degree in economics from the Université Catholique de Louvain (Belgium) and graduate degrees in economics from the University of New Hampshire and the London School of Economics (U.K.), where she did her Ph.D. research. She was selected to the YWCA Academy of Women Achievers in 1995.
